After our short stay in Idar-Oberstein it was time to shoot across Deutschland to the Czech Republic. We love Germany and look forward to spending a few more days towards the end of September during Oktoberfest, dressed in our Lederhosen and Dirndl dresses!
Driving the Autobahn is always an experience when sports car fly past when we're already doing 160km/h (100mph for those that don't want to do the conversion). The Rav4 handles quite well for being a block on wheels, but it won't keep up w/ the Audi's and BMW's.
Here we thought Japan had the bizarre vending machine market cornered, but never underestimate the Germans love for mid-night sausage. Apparently sausage vending machines have become popular around the country. The Germans still have some work to catch up to the Japanese with their noodle, ice cream, and umbrella vending machines! Here's a throwback to our time in Tokyo blog: Weird Japan
