Brașov 🇷🇴

Brașov became our base for the next three nights (the longest we've stayed anywhere over the last two weeks).  As we pulled in late the first night you couldn't help but see the bizarre hollywood-style sign of Brașov lit up on the top of the mountainside.  The next morning we spent exploring around the city taking in the town as well as plenty of food and drinks.  We squeezed our way through the narrow cobbled Rope Street (Strada Sforii) a lane argued to be one of the narrowest streets in Europe at a minimum width of 44 inches.  It's initial purpose was to allow fireman a shortcut between two main streets.  

We also visited an intriguing Cherry Liqour shop called Piana Vyshnia which means 'drunk cherry.'  The company is actually based in Ukraine which shares a border with Romania.  While pretty unassuming from the outside, the moment you step in your eyes are drawn to the translucent dark cherry red bottles that create a rouge backlit chandelier from the floor to the ceiling.  We decided to indulged in a little sweet ruby apéritif and the kids also got to indulge in a pick your own candy store!
